Batman: The Killing Joke
Alan Moore, Brian Bolland
reviewed by Alfred Pennyworth

This story is great, from the first two pages. The art is far from groundbreaking and doesn't make you gasp, but it's solid and with a good story, solid traditional artwork is all it takes. An the story is very good, Alan Moore takes such an indepth look at the Joker that you can feel sorry for and hate him at the same time. Unlike some other good stories, Moore doesn't need 350 pages to turn out a superb stoy, he can do it in under 50 (48 I think). You don't see loads of Bats and maybe the flashbacks are a bit tedious at times, but that doesn't stop this great story.

Final verdict: A quick but splendid read

Final Grade: A-
